Why NetVibes, Napster and Matt Costa make me a happier man today

One of the many great features of NetVibes is the webnote module which enables me to jot down thoughts, ideas, reminders etc much the same as a sticky post-it note with the added advantage that it won’t get binned by an overzealously tidy colleague/girlfriend and, by virtue of being a web-app, I can access it from absolutely anywhere.

So earlier this year – much earlier – I heard someone mention Matt Costa (“a better, more diverse Jack Johnson”) and his album, Songs we Sing, as a candidate for album of the year. I made a note and forgot about it

I’ve finally revisited this list and thought I’d give him a try.

Being a Napster subscriber means I don’t have to sacrifice £15 to test drive every new album: I simply stream it in. (based on that I can buy it and burn it to disc if I so choose, all legit.)

And all of this conspires to make me a happy man today because the Matt Costa album is, in a word, beautiful.
